Get Caitlin to World University Games

I've recently been selected to represent New Zealand at the World University Games for gymnastics. This competition is the second largest multi-sport event behind the Olympics. This year it is being held in Italy in early July. The cost of the trip is $13,000. Gymnastics isn't funded and I'm the only one representing women's artistic gymnastics which means I cover the full costs including the management fee.

I've been doing competitive gymnastics for nearly 14 years. I’ve been training at Tristar gymnastics club for around 4 of these and was at Counties Manukau for 10 years before this. I have experienced many injuries in the past which has meant I've missed out on previous international competitions. However, I'm now injury free and excited to have a great year.

I'm currently in my first year at the University of Auckland beginning a law and global studies conjoint. As well as doing uni full time I train 24 hours a week and work at my gym club for a few hours on weekends, working with disability kids and doing reception. Although it is pretty full on I'm really enjoying it.

I would appreciate any help I can get as this will be an amazing experience and will be great for my development as an international gymnast.
