Help get Casper to the World Championship!
Wellington
Kia ora everybody! As many of you will know, I have been selected to represent New Zealand at this year's Fencing World Championships in Milan, Italy, in the Men's Sabre and Men's Sabre Team events. It is an honor and a privilege to be able to represent New Zealand at this level of the sport, and I am grateful to my coaches, training partners, and the Fencing New Zealand selectors for placing their faith in me and giving me this opportunity.
At this stage, I plan to travel to London on the 7th of July to train with high-level athletes and coaches at the Leon Paul Fencing Centre and Camden Fencing Club, before heading on to Italy to join the rest of Team New Zealand
Travel, equipment, and accomodation costs are not covered for athletes representing New Zealand internationally in fencing - this means that I will be paying out of pocket for my airfare, accomodation, and equipment costs. The airfare is going to be roughly $5,000 dollars, and I have several key pieces of equipment that need to be replaced before the trip, running me around $1,000.
Put simply, I cannot afford this alone. That's why I am asking for your support. It has long been my dream to represent New Zealand on the world stage, and I know that with your help, I can get there!
Nga mihi nui, and see you all in Milan!
