Thank Robyn Bruce by getting her to Everest!

We are fundraising for Robyn Bruce to be part of a fully fund raised Everest Treks Adult trip to Nepal in May 2019. This is to thank Mrs Bruce for all she has done and still does for numerous students, giving them the opportunity of a lifetime.

Robyn is the tireless Duke of Edinburgh volunteer co-ordinator at Otamatea High School and has helped countless students through this process, being their mentor, guide and encourager and we want to say thanks!

This trip is 2 weeks walking in the Everest region with other adults who love this sort of adventure.

Through Robyn's leadership the DOE programme has grown at Otamatea High School, so that now about one quarter of our school are part of DOE. Robyn co-ordinates all the trips, keeps them on track with their skills, community service and physical recreation, and co-ordinates the fundraising so students can afford to participate.

Thanks to her organisational skills and fundraising it has cost our DOE students substantially less than DOE participants from other areas.

Robyn has touched many young people's lives through many different things as well as DOE, including hockey coach, teacher and community member.

To stand among the world’s highest mountains is awe-inspiring. A trip to the Everest region is unforgettable; it will move you to tears and leave an impression that will last for the rest of your life. (Everest Treks)
