Contributions to a new life in Ireland
Wellington
After nearly 6 amazing years In New Zealand, my visa options have run dry and we've had to make the difficult decision to return home to Ireland in October. With the arrival of baby girl and the immigration process getting harder and harder every year, staying in New Zealand without residency is just too risky. A couple of hiccups throughout my pregnancy means I'll be finishing up work earlier than I'd hoped, and finances will be tight until we get settled back in Ireland.
We will more or less be starting from scratch and the cost of this move is pretty extreme, flights, having to buy furniture, find a house etc. Those of you who know me know that leaving my dogs behind isn't an option.
For this reason, I'm putting my pride aside and asking in that instead of presents for the baby shower if friends and family could make a contribution to the cost of relocation for me, baby and the dogs.
There is no pressure on contributions at all and any amount will be hugely appreciated. Our costs all up are about $20,000 at this point, not including living costs till then. Hopefully 6 months from now we will be settled in Ireland with lots of land for the dogs and baby to explore and milking all the free babysitting we can from my own mother so I can get back to work!
Living costs, Babys set up, flights, dog relocation.
