Attempting to send my child back in time...

Imagine having a special intrest in History and Classical Studies. Now imagine visiting the Uffizi Gallery, Pompeii, Panthenon Square, Vatican, Sistine Chapel, Colosseum, Pantheon, Akrotiri, and the Acropolis Museum. This is the oppourtunity that my beastie has. They will travel to Rome and Greece next year as part of their classical studies at Burnside High.

Obviously an incredible trip like this comes with an incredible price tag. Hence the creation of the page. The trip is a once in a lifetime experience for Knox and we are exploring every avenue to help raise the money.

Use of funds

Any amount raised will go towards the fee of $14250 (all travel expenses, accommodation, most meals, insurances, tips, entrance fees).

In the entirely impossible event that the amount raised exceeds this amount the remainder will go towards spending money.

On average, fundraisers pay just 2% to use Givealittle. This is one of the lowest effective fees in New Zealand fundraising. We charge a 5% platform fee to cover the cost of running the platform. Because most donors choose to top up their donation to cover this fee, the effective cost paid by fundraisers is about 2%. That means around 98 cents of every dollar raised goes to the cause.
