Supporting our mother, wife, aunty, sister and friend with her road to recovery
Canterbury
On the 9th of April 2018, Tania Mataki suffered a ruptured brain aneurysm, she was semi-conscious and able to communicate for a few days before undergoing major neurosurgery. Tania has been in an induced come since the operation to allow for her to heal and recover which has also been difficult as new complications have arisen.
Our whanau have been by her side everyday as she fights for her life and recovery and we are very grateful for all the support and aroha given by her whanau, friends, colleagues and community. We are also thankful for those wanting to visit giving her space at this time as over-stimulation and risk of infection are very high as she is post operative and still heavily sedated.
We made this page to support our mother, wife, aunty, sister and friend with her road to recovery and peace of mind as the full extent of her capabilities are still unknown.
For updates or to share a message with her please follow her support page https://www.facebook.com/TMatakiSupport/
I am one of Tania's children and I have been appointed by the whanau to create a give a little page to help support our mother on her road to recovery.
The funds will be used to pay for potential medical fees and financial hardships that could arise during her road to recovery.
