Hi! I'm Aysu, a 20-year old student from Dunedin and I wish to compete in this year's Miss World New Zealand pageant.
Otago
I am excited to partake in the Miss World New Zealand pageant to be held in 2017 in Auckland, New Zealand. The core value of this pageant ‘Beauty with a Purpose’ is in essence the reason I have chosen to compete.
This year's 'Beauty with a purpose' is to support a local charity, Project Hope, which is a charity that provides refuge to young kiwis who come through abusive households and tough beginning. This is a group of outstanding young people who present courage and bravery as they face the world with a positive outlook despite all the things they have been through. They inspire me and truly put into perspective the value of charity work and how with our pageant we are making a difference in their live.
Please donate to support Project Hope!
ALL PROCEEDS AND FUNDS FROM THIS PAGE WILL GO TO PROJECT HOPE

Thank you!
As a Miss World New Zealand 2017 Finalist, I believe that the manifestation of beauty can be in all forms and I would like to be a part of a platform that allows young women to show that we can be confident, smart, kind and give back to our community and those in need.
I wish to use my platform as Miss World NZ to encourage diversity, break stereotypes and encourage young women to be confident and embracing of their individuality. In the current state of the world where differences including skin colour and nationality are still drawing an edge between our ability to achieve equality and acceptance, I want to show that it is important for young women to accept our differences, be proud of who they are, where they're from and their country. I want to work to raise awareness of these inequalities, both in New Zealand and globally, give back to my community and do my part in helping the world become a better place.
Miss World New Zealand, and Beauty with a Purpose, in particular, allows me to achieve my goal. If you would like to help me support Project Hope as much as possible before the 3rd of June, then please donate! There are also many fundraising events that all the contestants are planning so get in touch with us to be a part of changing the lives of these young kiwis.
All of the proceeds from this page will go to Project Hope! (Despite what is written elsewhere on this page)
Thank you!
