Last Worlds I sprained my neck just 6 weeks out. This time I'm training harder than ever to be at my best for my team & my country!!!
Auckland
As a small town Boardman kid I never thought my dreams of playing International Softball at the highest level would ever come true! Moreover, I never foresaw the opportunity to be a part of something so much bigger than myself!
Softball has taken me on a whirlwind journey across the World where I have made lifelong friends and memories. I've had the privilege to help grow the game and the passion for softball all around the World!
Because of softball I have found a home, a husband, and a life for myself here in New Zealand. I am ever so grateful to be taken in by NZ and given the opportunity to be apart of it's National Representative Softball Team, the New Zealand White Sox.
In July I will be going away to compete in the 2016 Softball World Championships in Surrey, Canada. Unfortunately, this is a self funded trip and raising nearly $5,000NZD after giving up my job to train full time in an effort to be the best pitcher, batter and fielder I can possibly be, isn't an easy feat.
Coming off of NZ Club Nationals as the top pitcher and MVP was a great start. However, I'm not training to be the best in NZ, I'm training to be the best in the World! Whether or not that is possible, my day revolves around training in an attempt to do so.
I'm doing everything I can to best represent NZ and help lead my team to success on the World stage. I would be forever grateful for any financial support you can offer to help my dreams and my efforts become a reality!
For the love of the game <3
