Tash's birthworks training

Since I was 15 years old pregnancy, birth & babies have been a huge part of my life but back then I didn't know how that would manifest itself. I would spend hours watching midwifery docos on Discovery channel & my obsession had begun. Flash forward a few years & I put all my energy into birthing my own 3 children, in a relaxed, supportive, respectful atmosphere,which I believe all women should have the chance to experience. Unfortunately not all do & this is wrong! Midwifery has been calling to me for many years now,on & off but the timing is still not quite right for me to jump in. Being a solo mother to 3 boys makes it difficult to commit to the hours of study & time away from kids so young....BUT I really want to do this & Birthworks international childbirth education & doula course helps me feel connected to that part of myself that has drive & ambition & passion. I want to support women to have the birth they desire, to be able to educate & empower others as my midwife did for me. I want to watch as those birthing women birth themselves into motherhood & one day I will take it further, to be a fully fledged midwife. Until then I want to learn...No,I NEED to learn. I need to immerse myself in something that will be as empowering for me as it will to the women who put their trust in me to support them....But I'm going to need a little help to reach this goal.
