Natan Annabell-Hansen is 10, and has been offered a space in a LeadershipTrip to the GC this September. He really deserves this! Please help
Bay of Plenty
Natan Annabell-Hansen has been working hard to "Climb the Ladder" in his education. specifically for the last 12 months. In this time, he has wowed his teachers, family and peers - enough so, that I (his proud Mum) received a phone call from his school, offering him a spot in the leadership trip they are taking this September, over to the Gold Coast Australia for 7 days and nights!
This is an amazing opportunity for Natan, and he really deserves to be rewarded for all his hard work and goal acheivments.
I feel this to be an experience that will further his future and help him believe strongly in himself and others.
However, there are only 3 months left to fundraise, and he has only just been offered an opening due to his impressive progress.
I cannot afford it alone, but have decided to somehow make it happen and fundraise together. After all... I teach my kids that they can do anything so i'd better walk the talk <3
Here is a brief overview of the trip :
"We are 9 to 11 year old students from Western Heights Primary School in Rotorua and we are the future leaders of our community, our city, our country, and the world.
We are creating leaders though a special leadership program. In this program we learn about Stephen Covey’s 8 habits of great leaders and how using these habits in our daily lives can help us be better leaders and citizens.
In September, we are travelling to The Gold Coast in order to gain independence, expand our leadership skills, learn about new cultures, learn to be responsible for ourselves, and experience new possibilities, people and places."
Pleae help if you can, any amount is appreciated. I have not included the cost of his passport in the goal, as I will make that and the deposit to secure his spot my first personal priority. Together, we can make this happen!
Finally, a MISSION STATEMENT from Natan to show you his personality and mind:
"My mission is to help people be a better person by being a positive role model. I will succeed in my mission by first getting rid of bullying for not just me, but for other people. So, if I succeed the world will be a better place and people will be happier around the world.I hope it goes to plan, if it doesn't i will keep trying until it will. I won't give up. I will use the habits, and help people without being asked (be proactive) and plan before i proceed like i'm doing now (begin with the end in mind). I will also talk to people and give the advice to make them a better person."
I am Natan's Mother, and I strongly believe in my boy's ability to be a future leader. I really want to see this trip happen for him, but cannot do it without your help/fundraising.
I'm usually the one doing lots of giving/volunteering... I find it hard to accept it back... But a mum will do anything for her child <3
Natan's Mission UPDATE! 27 May 2016
You may have seen Natan's Mission Statement - (if you haven't, i've attached it)
I spoke to Natan yesterday about how his mission is going. The conversation went something like this:
(Me) - So, have you been working on your mission Natan?
(Natan) - (disbeliving facial expression) What's the point of creating a mission statement if i'm not going to work on it Mum?! (giggles)
Natan then went on to inform me that he has been working on it, by asking everyone in the playground if they've experienced bullying recently. He said he hasn't had one yes, since the school worked with it's students at the end of last year to survey the childrens feelings on safety. He said his mission has succeeded at school, partly due to him, but mostly due to the School, and Western Heights Primary is now BULLY FREE <3
What a gorgeous little man we have.
