The U21 Student Summit organisers recently asked participants what our goals for the Summit are. ALL of us replied along the same lines: to share and to learn.
I really do agree. This international summit is a great opportunity for me to share the things I’ve learned through the programmes I’ve participated in at uni and elsewhere. It is also a rare chance to hear what student leaders from other countries have to add to that store of knowledge and experience. I look forward to all the new discoveries and conversations that will be had at the Summit!

The U21 has just released a detailed agenda for the summit in May!
I am most excited to hear from the reps of the 4 universities from different countries whom they’ve invited to speak. They will be talking about some student-led community development projects that are currently running in their respective countries. There will be lots of learning on my part, for sure! I hope there will be some ideas we can replicate in our own NZ communities.

My flights to and from Santiago, Chile have been booked! I don’t think I’ve ever been this excited for a 13 hour flight. I’ve also been granted my tourist visa by the Chilean Consulate in Wellington!
