Emma Watson - Childrens FEI Classic Show Jumping Finals Bejing, China 2017/18
Waikato
Hi, my name is Emma and I'm a 14yr old, from Morrinsville in the Waikato, NZ.
I qualified to represent NZ in the FEI Childrens International Classics show jumping final in Bejing China, in Dec 2017. I am 1 of 16 children from around the world to have qualified for this event.
I have been riding ponies / horses all my life. I currently train and compete my own horses and horses for others, to help pay my way. Each day I work these horses after school and compete most weekends.
I love this sport and work hard to the best of my abilities to be the best rider I can be.
Financially it is a big cost for my family to get me to China to compete. This has recently been made even harder by the loss of one of my best horses, and the added pressure of his vet bills.
Acheivements.
* This year I am currently leading the Country TV NZ Pony Grand prix series, and the Dunstan Horsefeeds and EquiFibre Junior Rider Series.
* I recently won the North Island Pony Grand Prix championship
* In 2016/17 I won the Equissage NZ Pony Grand Prix series
* In the 2016/17 season I represented NZ in Mexico in the FEI Childrens International Classics show jumping final. It is a huge honor to qualify for this event for 2 years in a row.
* I have represented New Zealand in show jumping 4 times so far, and hoping to successfully do so many more times in the future.
Goals:
My short term is to compete successfully in China.
In the long term, I would love to represent my country at the World Equestrian Games and hopefully one day the Olympics.
Representing NZ in China is a huge honor, however I really need your help to get there. Please help me in raising the necessary funds to travel to Bejing in December 2017.
Funds will cover air fares to China, Chinese visas, and accomodation and living costs for 7 days whilst in Bejing, for 3 people.
