Help Wana and her family fight for her life
Auckland
On Monday 4th of July 2016, Wana was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. Due to this, she has not been able to attend work or play sport and we would appreciate your help to assist with her two young boys (Kayden and Xavier) and her husband, Ben. The funds that are raised are to help with their everyday living eg. trips to the hospital and parking for further chemo treatment, household bills, to buy her children story books so she can read to them over Skype.
Its the little things that count in life and reading to her children before they sleep helps them to relax as her voice is the last they hear before they lay their heads to rest. x
I am Ariana one of Wana's younger siblings. * On the 1st of October 2015 was my first ever encounter with this horrible disease "CANCER" then on the 14th of November 2015 our hearts were ripped out, We lost our "MUM" life has changed so much from then....Wana is my backbone my sister my friend my everything, she has loved and supported me unconditionally, and for that I am forever grateful.
Wana called me on Friday 8th of July 2016 to inform me that this crappy disease "CANCER" Acute Myeloid Leukemia is swimming around in her body, that day I'll never forget it took me back to that horrible day when we lost our mum, tears flowed heart broke and the sadness returned. I just can't imagine what Wana must be going through, the emotional roller coaster of the unknown.
With hearing these words from Wana "Just take one day at a time" has helped me deal with her news!
I went to see Wana lastnight 31st July 2016 at Auckland Hospital where she has been for the past 27 days she has lost around 14 kgs her hair has gone due to treatment, but her big brown eyes still shine brightly and her smile say's so much, she has been so strong and positive.
We all love you and are praying for you to get better.
Please help support Wana on her Journey to fight for her life....
