Create a personal link and help add value to the new National Library of New Zealand’s Auditorium
Wellington
Te Puna Foundation is thrilled to contribute to the refurbishment of the new National Library of New Zealand, Te Puna Matauranga o Aotearoa’s Auditorium.
The Auditorium will be a ‘Centre of Knowledge’ that will provide state-of-the-art facilities for events, conferences, meetings, intimate musical performances and unique experiences related to the many taonga the National Library has in its collections.
In order to raise funds to add value to the auditorium, Te Puna Foundation is offering a unique opportunity for the public to create a permanent and personal link to the auditorium, by gifting a “Seat of Knowledge”. There are 172 seats in the auditorium and you can gift a seat for $1,500 each.
Gifts less than $1,500 are still welcome and will be pooled together to gift a ‘Kāpui’ Seat of Knowledge. We will update our Facebook page each time a seat is sold, so follow us and know when your contribution has gifted a seat!
The government will match every dollar Te Puna Foundation raises so your $1500 gift for a “Seat of Knowledge” immediately becomes $3000.
Your gift is also tax deductible so in reality, you are gifting $1000 for a value of $3000. What an investment!
In recognition of your $1500 gift, your name will be placed on a bespoke Honours board located at the entrance to the auditorium.
In recognition of gifts less than $1500, you will be given the opportunity to vote on preferred names of community significance, for the ‘Kāpui’ seats you have helped gift.
The honours board is a permanent thank you from Te Puna Foundation, for your help in bringing the Auditorium to life. Anyone can gift a “Seat of Knowledge”- individuals, families, businesses or groups joining together such as friends or colleagues.
The Auditorium is due to open in mid-2018 and we need your help to make this a reality; our goal is to have sponsorship for all of the seats by 30 May!
*Note The target = Sum of remaining 167 seats left + a 5% Give a Little fee*
Te Puna Foundation was formed to extend and add value to the work of the National Library- collecting, preserving and sharing the stories and taonga of New Zealand, through philanthropic funding.
Funds raised will be used to add value to the Auditorium. Funds that exceed our target will be added to Te Puna Foundation's General Fund.
