With the funds from our generous supporters via Givealittle we were able to raise and place approximately 200 chickens into cyclone affected families. Thank you to everyone who donated!
We have placed over 200birds into new ‘cyclone affected’ families now, with more heading out this week and we even have some hens still sitting on eggs!

We have been lucky to receive some free chicks but I am paying for end of lay hens to gift and also paying for chick feed and fuel to deliver chicks. I have reduced the fundraising goal to cover these costs only :)
We have started delivering chicks to cyclone affected families. So far we have helped 5 families and we have another 20 families on the list, waiting for chickens. These are all people who lost their chickens (and other animals) in the floods caused by Cyclone Gabrielle
