Hi everyone, Kendrick was scheduled to come home 2 weeks ago but we found a hernia and he had to fly back to Wellington last Friday to have surgery to repair those.
He was sent back home to Hawkes Bay SCBU on Saturday and on Sunday we were OK’d to go home.
He has now been home for a week and is doing really well!
Again, thank you all for your kind words, thoughts and prayers!
Thank you for your donations as well, things are looking good and we can definitely see the rainbow and sunshine now.

Kendrick is doing super well, he is off his oxygen support for almost a week now and is doing soo good.
He has also started bottle feeds, this will take a while because as of his enlarged tongue, he needs to get used to using it and swallowing while breathing all at the same time.
Drs are talking about going home for him soo that’s super exciting, we are truly starting to feel more at ease and things are starting to feel normal again.

Today we finally got to go back to the Hawkes Bay!!
Baby is still in hospital but close to home, Drs & nurses are still working on his breathing and feeding.
We are hoping to have him home with us in a month but Drs can’t be sure how long it will take.
Yesterday was what was supposed to be little Kendrick’s due date.
He is now 3months old and is doing really well!❤️
He weighs 3.9kgs and Drs are now focused on his breathing and feeding.
We also might be transferred back to Hawkes Bay hospital soon!
On the other hand, mom had a meeting with her oncology team and is now under surveillance. Drs are confident that they have removed all of the cancer and don’t think further treatment is required right now but we’ll be doing tests and scans every few months to ensure if there’s any cancer cells they are dealt with earlier rather than later!
Everything is looking hopeful, thank you for following our story and your kind donations!
