Bay of Plenty
Hazel, our school cat was found by our caretaker, Tarkan. He adopted Hazel, and after a short while, Hazel had gorgeous babies. We found homes for them, and they are very happy. Tarkan took Hazel to the vet and Hazel was neutered. Hazel is still not domesticated and only goes to Tarkan and his daughters, Ela and Alina, and only Tarkan can feed him. Hazel follows Tarkan around the school and is a regular sight on the school grounds. A few months ago, Hazel stopped eating and showed signs of serious pain.
When Tarkan took her to the vet, they said all of Hazel's teeth are rotten (due to not having vaccinations as a kitten) and her mouth was badly infected. They immediately took her in for an operation. Hazel was happy in Tarkan's arms but did not go to any of the staff members at the clinic. So they anesthetized Hazel, when in Tarkan's arms and did the operation. It was a very successful operation, thanks to VETORA Rotorua. It cost us $1,100.00. Some colleagues have given us $380.00, very kind of them. We would appreciate it if you can donate anything you can for Hazel please . She is a lovely cat and deserves a second chance.
