The next step of Grant's journey
17 September 2025We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who has been supporting us through the last very stressful 3 months. Grant is now at home following multiple medical complications which have meant numerous hospital admissions and eventually a gastric bypass surgery to allow him to eat again.
Today, Grant starts a very aggressive chemo protocol with the aim to shrink the tumour to a size that could hopefully be resectable. This will be a tough journey, but the continued support brings so much comfort.
We appreciate those who have so generously contributed to Grants Givealittle. We purchased a Lazyboy for Grants comfort as he recovers from surgery and heads into chemo with all the likely side effects. The financial assistance after his sudden loss of income has been immensely helpful, as Grant is unable to work now and for the foreseeable future. The money goes toward petrol and hospital parking, food on the go, special dietary requirements (for Grant), endless coffees (for Min). Petrol, parking, and missed work (for Hayley).
We really appreciate everyone's love and care for us along with the practical help we have recieved.
We could not be doing this without our awesome village.
