Help us raise $80,000 for Jackie's life-saving Keytruda treatment so she can beat TNBC and watch her grandkids grow up.
Hamilton, Waikato
Our beautiful Jackie has recently been diagnosed with stage 2 Triple Negative Breast Cancer (TNBC), an aggressive and fast-growing form of breast cancer.
This has been a devastating shock to our family. Jackie has always been the one putting everyone else first - the kind of person who shows up with a smile, a helping hand and a big heart. She has devoted herself to the Waikato DHB for 32 years as a cardiac sonographer with the last 13 of those years as charge cardiac sonographer.
With the urgency and severity of TNBC we need to act fast to give her the absolute best chance. Her oncologist has recommended a treatment called Keytruda (pembrolizumab) - an immunotherapy treatment that significantly improves the survival outcomes when combined with chemotherapy.
The heartbreaking reality is that although Keytruda is funded for stage 4 patients in New Zealand, it is not funded for early-stage patients like Jackie. To access it now - when it can be most effective - we must pay for it ourselves. The cost is $80,000.
We are doing everything we can as a family to raise the money to give Jackie the best possible chance to beat this cancer and to see her grandchildren grow up.
We are asking for help from anyone who can contribute or share. Every donation, no matter how small will go directly towards the cost of treatment to give Jackie the fighting chance she deserves.
Thank you for helping us give Jackie the chance to see many more tomorrows 💕
