We're raising $80,000 to help Riza to receive urgent heart surgery & specialist treatment for rheumatic mitral valve disease.
Flat Bush, Auckland
As Vincent's employer and work family, we're reaching out to support someone very special to him – his wife, Rizalina (Riza) Gundran.
Vincent is a valued member of our team, known for his hard work, kindness, and dedication. He and Riza have been married for 25 years and are proud parents to Joshua (24) and Jazmine (23). After years apart, they were excited to build their future together in New Zealand, where Vincent has lived for almost nine years.
During a routine immigration medical assessment, Riza was diagnosed with severe mixed rheumatic mitral valve disease. Further testing confirmed severe mitral stenosis, severe mitral regurgitation, and pulmonary hypertension, all of which place significant strain on her heart.
Her cardiologist has advised that urgent treatment is needed to reduce the risk of serious complications, including heart failure. Unfortunately, as a visitor visa holder, Riza is not eligible for publicly funded healthcare, meaning all treatment must be paid for privately.
We are hoping to raise $80,000 to help cover specialist consultations, diagnostic testing, heart surgery, hospital care, medications, and recovery costs.
Riza is a loving wife, mother, and friend who has remained positive despite these challenges. We're standing beside Vincent and his family and asking for your support.
Every donation, no matter the size, will help give Riza the chance to receive the treatment she urgently needs. Thank you for your kindness, generosity, and support.
We are Vincent's employer and colleagues. We are fundraising on behalf of his wife, Riza, to help her access urgently needed heart surgery and treatment.
