Supporting families from migrant and former refugee backgrounds to have a great Kiwi Christmas.
Auckland
Belong Aotearoa run Safari Multicultural Playgroups that are safe, culturally appropriate, and local spaces for families from migrant and former refugee backgrounds to play, share, connect and learn. There are six playgroups around Auckland that provide more than a playgroup experience. The playgroups provide families with free transport to and from the playgroup, free English language classes and a range of workshops and information sessions that helps them settle in Auckland. The families we work with are often isolated and so our playgroups provide for many their first taste of New Zealand, and for many provide a foundation of support for their families to thrive.

Belong Aotearoa are a non-profit innovation and social change hub working to address systemic barriers to settlement for newcomers in Aotearoa.
Use of funds
It will be spent on creating a great experience for our families through our Christmas party, with funds raised to go towards things like gifts, food and activities that helps our families feel a sense of belonging and connection.
