Belong Aotearoa

Belong Aotearoa has in over 20 years supported thousands of newcomers, migrants and refugees who have settled in Auckland. Our Vision is 'An inclusive, connected New Zealand where newcomer communities are able to enjoy and contribute towards our collective wellbeing and prosperity'. We are focused on enriching the lives of newcomers, migrant and refugees in the Auckland region by addressing the key barriers in their journey to settlement and integration, so that they can fully contribute and participate in NZ life.

Newcomers, migrants and refugees face a wide range of barriers and pain points within the different systems of New Zealand. These systems include health, education, employment and social systems in which they experience pain points such as inequitable access to employment, racism and social isolation. Belong Aotearoa has been a place in which these communities can learn skills, gain experience and opportunities that help them in each of these systems through the various projects, workshops and programmes we run.

However we understand that long term impact needs innovation solutions. Our mission is to drive innovation to address the critical pain points that impact on newcomer settlement and integration to ensure long lasting positive impact for these communities.

We however need your help to support our work to ensure that Aotearoa, New Zealand is a truly inclusive nation.
