KittyCat Rescue Wairarapa is raising funds to help Gizmo and other wild cats and kittens like him.
Wellington
Meet Gizmo, a tiny seven-day-old kitten who was found cold and alone in a chicken coop in the Wairarapa. Trauma and cold had already taken its toll on the wee thing and he has lost a toe and may lose the tip of his tail.
He is safe and warm now with one of our amazing volunteers who is feeding him every two hours around-the-clock and, of course, providing all the love and cuddles he deserves.
Despite a rough start he seems to be doing well but it is not a good time of year to be a new-born kitten and it’s going to take a lot of time and care to get him through his first few weeks.
We are looking for any brothers and sisters that are out there and of course his mama. She likely abandoned him due to an infection of her milk glands so wherever she is, she is in need of help.
If you can spare anything for Gizmo and the other cats in our care, and to help us bring more cats and kittens in from the cold we would be so grateful.
Follow us on Facebook (KittyCat Rescue Wairarapa) to keep up to date on Gizmo's story and find out more about the work we are doing.
KittyCat Rescue was started in January 2017 with the aim of helping stray cats. Now, our passion is the care, desexing, management, socialisation and adoption of wild and abandoned cats in the Wairarapa.
Funds will be used for food, vet bills, desexing, microchipping, litter, and everything else the cats need to get them ready for a loving forever home.
