Take this Glenfield College Robotics Team to the World Championships
Glenfield, Auckland
Join us in supporting the Glenfield College Robotics Team on their journey to the VEX World Championships in April 2024, in Dallas, Texas! Our team, comprising dedicated high school students, has consistently showcased exceptional talent in national and international robotics competitions, under the expert guidance of David Aston, a VEX Robotics Hall of Fame inductee in 2016.
This year, our team clinched second place at the National Championships, earning a spot at the prestigious VEX World Championships. This event is a global showcase, featuring over 800 teams from 40+ countries, competing to determine the world's top young robotic engineers.
In addition to the World Championships, our team will participate in another major international contest hosted by the Create Foundation, further honing their skills against some of the world's best aspiring engineers.
Our team members, Luke Oborn, Sam Legg, and Serena Gazzard, have a proven track record of excellence, both in robotics and as a cohesive unit, having competed together in various arenas for years. Their synergy, creativity, and resilience are the driving forces behind their success.
We aim to raise funds to cover travel, accommodation, and event fees for this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Your support will not only fuel their competitive spirit but also invest in the future of STEM education and innovation.
Join us in making this dream a reality for these deserving young innovators!
I am the uncle of team member Serena. I am a software engineer and I am managing their fundraising efforts across all platforms. I am also building a website for the team, as well as organising other content creation.
