Ian and Ariarne McMillan hired a builder to put their relocated house on its foundations, they expected to move in and crack on with renovations within a few months.
Ian and Ariarnes lost $184,000 of their hard earned savings for what was their retirement home. They have been reduced to living in a caravan next to a house on temporary blocks that has cost them a fresh mortgage to repair. And a house they may never get to retire in, as planned.
