Gloriavale Leavers Support Trust EMERGENCY WELFARE APPEAL 2021
Dozens have left Gloriavale in the past several weeks and it's expected to escalate. We need urgent funds to help families resettle!

People are leaving Gloriavale at an escalating rate as pressure grows on the reclusive West Coast community.
For many years the Gloriavale Leavers’ Support Trust has supported those who leave the community to start new lives – providing everything from houses, to transport, to clothing, household goods and support as leavers get used to the ‘outside’ world.
We've now launched the Emergency Welfare Appeal to address the growing demand for financial support to help all those leaving Gloriavale get back on their feet.
It's crisis time and we need your help today.
Families leave quickly with few personal possessions, and very large families (sometimes more than 10 children). Thanks to amazing communities, we have plenty of access to clothing and furniture at present, but our most pressing need is for financial support.

The Gloriavale Leavers' Support Trust supports people who have left the reclusive Gloriavale Community. We support in practical, financial, spiritual, emotional, legal and educational matters.
Use of funds
Funds will go towards family resettling & welfare assistance and service provision.

New End Goal & Update 11 November 2021
So grateful! It appears this page is continuing to provide much needed-funds for people leaving Gloriavale, and so we have extended the closing date of this page through to February. (Besides the cute kids in the video love to watch themselves!!)
We have been busy helping more young people who left Gloriavale recently. They are all doing really well, having landed places to stay and jobs in a short space of time.
I have attached an image of a group of teens from our local youth group who attended a Youth Camp recently. It was an amazing opportunity for ex-Gloriavale teens to mix and mingle with others. They loved it!
