John Ready is taking on Gloriavale in court. Help him raise funds for this David and Goliath battle which will gain international attention.
Nationwide
John Ready, an ex-Gloriavale member has filed an application in the High Court of New Zealand to examine the role, conduct and actions of Gloriavale’s leadership and trustees to bring to an end the alleged physical, emotional, sexual & spiritual abuse, neglect, and damaging & illegal behaviours in Gloriavale.
John has been using some of the best lawyers in NZ and we are so grateful for their tireless contribution. As yet they have received no payment for their services, but associated legal bills are now mounting up. This has the potential to cost hundreds of thousands of dollars.
Two and a half years ago, John was expelled from Gloriavale with nothing more than $1000 in his pocket, but his wife and children are still inside. The Gloriavale Leavers' Support Trust has committed to helping him raise the funds. We have set up this fundraising page exclusively for this purpose.
The court process will be slow and involved and there is no doubt Gloriavale will throw its substantial financial resources to fight it. Will you help John fight for freedom and justice for a group of 600 people still trapped inside, and hundreds of others who have been harmed by this group?
See more about John's case here on NewsHub: https://www.newshub.co.nz/home/new-zealand/2020/09/former-gloriavale-member-files-landmark-legal-case-filed-against-the-community-s-leadership.html
The Gloriavale Leavers' Support Trust supports people who have left the reclusive Gloriavale Community. We support in practical, financial, spiritual, emotional, legal and educational matters.
The funds will be used for the anything associated with the legal case - gathering of evidence, legal fees, court costs etc.
Many thanks!! So grateful for your support.
