1 Month in already!!!
12 March 2022Hi all, Megan is now 1 month post transplant and going from strength to strength. Already the fun energetic child that was slowly disappearing before her transplant is back! At clinic on Thursday last, after getting her dressing off, she said to her Gastro team, "Look what I can do!!" And proceeded to jump around the room! Apparently a few concerned faces to begin with, wondering if she was going to undo all their hard work! Again we cannot express our gratitude to the team at Starship enough, as well as the staff at RMH for giving Megan and Crystal a safe home away from home while Megan recovers. Once again, Thank-you to everyone who donated to this page, your contribution makes the task of effectively running two households that much easier, especially given the recent cost of living increases. Megan's liver functions have all normalized now, despite a short bout of rejection in week two and I will never get tired of looking at Megan's clear white eyes, after years of them being yellow tinged! Hopefully only a few more weeks apart for the family and then back to the comforts of home,
