    We are now closing this fundraising page but would like to take the opportunity to thank everyone who has supported Charlie and our family, both through the fundraising we initially created this page for and the unexpected loss of Charlie from our lives. We miss him every day and are incredibly grateful that we were able to give him a farewell that reflected the joyful and happy person that he was.

    Charlie is now at rest at Whenua Tapu Cemetery, he has a beautiful garden there which his family and friends tend with love, and there are birds which sing for him from the nearby trees.

    Charlie tragically lost his life, suddenly and unexpectedly, on Sunday, the 27th of April, 2025.

    As a result, all fundraising gathered thus far will be redirected to Charlie's whānau for expenses related to his sudden death and subsequent funeral costs. This page will remain active until June 30th for those who would like to support Charlie's whānau in this difficult time.

    Charlie's whānau would like to express their deep gratitude to those who have contributed to Good Luck Chuck - Mobility Van Fundraiser. Altogether, around $12,000 was raised from all sources, and Charlie's whānau was nearing a point where they could have begun looking at options such as financing by using the funds as a deposit. This was an amazing community effort, and everyone involved is a reminder of the goodness in this world.

  • Garage Sale Fundraiser

    We are super excited to be able to reduce our Givealittle goal by a whopping 7K, thanks to the amazing Garage Sale held in Tawa back in March.

    We'd like to thank the community for coming out and supporting us and our friends who gave up so much time planning and running the event,

  • Change to closing date

    We've adjusted our closing date to 10 September 2024 and will be seeking to extend the closing date for a further year due to the amount still needing raised and the number of fundraising events we still need to do to achieve this.

  • Wonka Movie Night Fundraiser

    One of our major fundraiser events this year is a screening of Wonka at Pauatahanui Light House Cinema on December 18th.

  • Appoximate full cost for a suitable vehicle

    This figure is based off the average full price of the most suitable vehicles currently available in NZ that are likely to be serviceable for at least 10 years.

    IThe goal will be adjusted whenever anything changes. For example, when we know what specific vehicle will be purchased or if we are lucky enough to recieve a funding contribution grant . The goal will always reflect what we need to raise individually with community support.
