Gordon Hills Funeral

Sadly, earlier this year our Uncle Gordon passed away. He had been sick for some time, so though not a shock, it was still a blow. He didn't have any children of his own but he was dearly loved by the family that he did have. He wasn't a rich man in monetary terms however he was rich in jokes, stories and love. Uncle G reminded me a-lot of my father, his older brother. His estate was minimal, in fact, it left more debt than anything. We were told that his funeral would be covered by a WINZ grant and sadly it has been declined. He was overpaid after his death and those funds went to other debts, such as bank debts etc. So we have to pay the remaining amount owing on the funeral costs. When I say funeral, we had no service, it was a private cremation, done as sweetly yet cheaply as possible. My sister Jenny has been told she is liable for these costs, however I cannot leave this on her shoulders alone. I am selling everything I can to help reimburse her and using this forum to try and raise funds. Please help if you can and if nothing else, no matter how old you are, or how little you think you have, PLEASE write a will and sort some sort of funeral cover. Trust me when I say, not doing this hurts and causes huge amounts of unnecessary stress.
