" Thank you all so much for your messages and donations.

I'm getting better each day but I'm finding it hard.

I'm looking forward to walking again and going to Sophie's wedding"

Grace is working incredibly hard to reach her goals.

In the four and a half months since her admission to Auckland Hospital she has astounded us with her progress. Its exhausting and frustrating for her but she has never given up.We could not be more proud of her.

Today she was able to get out and enjoy the sunshine with some of her support team.

To all of you, her wider support team

    Thankyou xxxx

After 10 weeks in Auckland Hospital Grace has had her first trip outside.

Supported by her wonderful therapists ,she enjoyed some time in Auckland Domain.

Grace has worked so hard to get to this milestone and she wanted to share this with you all.

Thank you for your support, it means so much to us all xx

Sending love and best wishes to you and your family, Grace. I hope knowing friends far and wide are thinking about you and sending love, helps, as you manage the tough times on your road to recovery. I bet it was amazing to feel the sun on your face during this outing.

  • Thank you!

This update is to express our eternal gratitude to each and every one of you.

Gratitude for your donations, messages and prayers for our darling Grace.

Your help has enabled Grace's family to be at her bedside when she most needed them.

Grace is showing immense determination and resilience and we wanted to share with you some of her progress so far.

Emerged from coma after 4 and a half weeks

Was able to have her tracheostomy removed after 6 weeks

Began communicating with an alphabet board after 7 weeks

Up on her feet with assistance at 8 weeks

Her progress has been remarkable with every day bringing a new milestone. She constantly amazes her medical team

It is so heartwarming to see the determination in her eyes.

An application for funding to the Aquired Brain Injury Rehab unit has been made.

This will be where the intense rehabilitation will continue.

Your donations will continue to assist Grace's family to be with her on this journey.

And to fund any mobility and speech aids not covered by the DHB.

Our hope is that one day Grace will be able to update you all herself, to acknowledge all that you have done for her.

    Kia Kaha xx
