In the Spirit of Adventure!

On the 22 November, this year I hope to go away on a 10-day voyage with the spirit of adventure. I am going on this to gain life skills, and seeing if life living at sea is the life for me. The experience would be a great insight of life on a boat. It will be a valuable experience for me because of my ambition to join the Royal New Zealand Navy.

I am currently studying for my NCEA Level 2 at new Plymouth Girls High School. The 10 Day Voyage is proven to increase participants’ life skills particularly resilience, self-esteem and self-efficacy. these would be great attributes to have for the future I want for myself. Additionally, it will be a great way to boost any applications I may have in the future.

It would mean a huge amount to me to take part in this awesome opportunity.

In order to achieve this I have set myself the target of fundraising as much of course fee over the next two months as I can.

I hope I can raise the whole $2400 plus the money it’s going to cost to get there and get back which will cost me about $300. While there is a way to go, I am hopeful that I will reach my target and go on to have an amazing experience.
