Grandma the Cancer fighter - Stage 4

My mother has always worked hard. She single handedly raised myself and my brother teaching us strong work values and how to overcome challenges. We learned self reliance and perseverance. She is an amazing grandmother to 6 grandkids who all love her dearly. She is a stubborn old thing and the grandkids always have funny stories about how grandma does things.

After losing her house in the 2010 Christchurch earthquake she was diagnosed with kidney cancer and given 12 - 18 months to live. Mum has battled this diagnosis with determination and grit. She has survived the removal of on kidney and part of her stomach and 3 months of chemo since the original diagnosis.

Mum has become less mobile over the years until about 6 months ago. She has become inspired and obsessed with her favourite singer Demash. She's even started a NZ Fan Club and now converses with other fans around the world. She has lost 15 kgs and been getting fitter to try and travel.

She would dearly love to attend his concert in Shenzhen, China (she has a Chinese fan friend who is a doctor that will help her and share a room with her) in May this year before her mobility levels make this impossible. We would love to help her raise the funds to be able to travel to see her inspiration in concert. Please help us make this wish come true for her.
