Greymouth High School Basketball - Nationals Awaits!

$900 of $5,000 goal
Given by 17 generous donors in 18 days

Our talented young women have qualified for the National Basketball Champs which is starting on Monday - Help us attend this great trip!

West Coast

The Greymouth High School Senior Girls Basketball team have recently qualified for the National Secondary Schools' Basketball Championships in Palmerston North at the end of September. This excellent achievement has capped off an stellar 2019 season winning the West Coast Secondary School Senior Girls Tournament, the West Coast Women's A Grade Champions, the Challenge of the Champs winners, then at the South Island Premierships during tournament week they placed 3rd!

The team will be off and away to the Nationals on the 28th September with the huge amount of travel needed from the West Coast to then start the tournament on the 30th September - 3rd of October. We will be taking on the top 'A' schools from around the country at this prestigious tournament. ('A' = CoEd schools with rolls under 600, or same sex with rolls under 300).

We are aiming to raise $5,000 to help get these girls away who are working hard behind the scenes selling raffles, doing sausage sizzles and anything else to try and decrease total costs of the trip.

We would love if you could help us on the journey to the National Championships!

All donors will be thanked via media (school newsletter and social media), if a major sponsor or business would like their logo to be publicised we are happy to put it out in the media with anything to do with this team and/or print it on our team gear bags.

Thank you to Bill Phillips for catching some great action shots during our West Coast A Grade Women's final versing John Paul II High School.
