Graham has to stop work to undergo cancer treatment and surgery for a year. Help support Graham and Mabel by topping up their grocery fund!
Auckland
Graham Stewart has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and has been advised by his doctor to take a year off for chemotherapy and surgery.
Graham was working as a storeman and forklift driver before his diagnosis.
His wife, Mabel, is currently working as a relief teacher at an Auckland school. This is not yet a permanent position, which makes things very uncertain for them at this time.
Both Graham and Mabel moved from Wellington to Auckland in 2013 to help the poor in South Auckland. This included reaching out to low income families with clothing, toiletries and groceries. Most of the help they extended came out of their own savings.
With rising food prices and the Stewarts being down to one (unstable) income, they are struggling financially.
We would like to raise $3200 initially to help cover 12 weeks of their grocery bill. Ideally, we would like to raise enough for a year at a later date.
Please give generously to this couple that has given so much out of the little that they have. Do keep Graham and Mabel in prayer too. Thank you.
I decided to create this fundraiser as I have known the Stewarts since 2005. Graham was my classmate for a year at Ministry Training College in Wellington. I wish to relieve them of their financial burden during this difficult time of treatment.
