Supporting Muslim women and girls across Aotearoa to connect, learn, grow and thrive through belonging.
Every Muslim woman and girl deserves a place where she feels safe, supported and confident in who she is.
For more than 35 years, the Islamic Women’s Council of New Zealand has stood alongside Muslim women and girls across Aotearoa. From a young woman finding the confidence to step into leadership, to a mother forming meaningful friendships, or a new Muslim finding a community where she truly belongs, IWCNZ creates spaces where women can connect, learn and grow without judgement.
Through leadership development, employment support, mentoring, wellbeing initiatives, youth programmes, workshops, conferences and community events, women are gaining new skills, building relationships and discovering opportunities they may not have accessed otherwise.
Demand for this work continues to grow. Our events are filling faster, our programmes are reaching more regions and women from increasingly diverse backgrounds are asking for more opportunities to participate.
Your donation will help us continue creating high-quality programmes and welcoming spaces for Muslim women and girls across New Zealand. It will help a woman feel seen, give a young person the confidence to take her next step and ensure that no sister feels she must navigate life alone.
