We now need help for our Pugs, they are sick.
Marton, Manawatu-Wanganui
It is with heavy hearts and deep sadness that we share the news that Gypsy, our beloved Bulldog, has passed away.
Despite our best efforts, we were unable to raise the full amount needed for her CT scan and operation. Her condition worsened, and there was nothing more we could do. We had to say goodbye far too soon.
We are left with not only broken hearts but also a $4,000 loan in vet bills—a heavy burden for us to carry on our limited pensions. But we would have done anything for her, and we tried.
Gypsy was not just a pet—she was family. She was gentle, loving, and loyal. She loved children, other animals, and most of all, she adored my wife. The two shared an unbreakable bond. Sadly, this is the second Bulldog my wife has lost within just a few months. She is devastated. Gypsy brought her so much comfort through illness and hardship. The silence left behind is unbearable.
To those of you who gave what you could to help—we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Your kindness meant the world during such a difficult time.
Gypsy, you were more than we could have ever hoped for. We’ll miss your snuggles, your soulful eyes, your funny little ways, and the love you gave so freely.
Rest easy, beautiful girl. You’ll always be in our hearts.
All the money raised will go to vet bills and her care.
I now have 2 sick Pugs, I can't afford to take them to the vets. 16 December 2025
I am on my own as my wife has been taken from me, the Pugs were her dogs, I am sick myself and trying to cope, this will be my first Christmas on my own. No one comes to see me or asks how I am, it's just me and the Pugs. The Pugs are sick dogs both girls missing my wife, and I can't afford to take them to the vets, we have already lost 2 Bulldogs and still owe about $4,000 for them. No body comes to see me or care about me I am alone to care for 2 Pugs.
