A permanent disc golf course at Hagley Golf Club is coming!
Christchurch, Canterbury
The Club's aim is to install a disc golf courses in and around Christchurch. We have installed many courses in local parks and now we are stepping it up!
We are honored to have international course designer Avery Jenkins of Disc Golf Park by Discmania, coming to Christchurch to design and install a championship level disc golf course on the beautiful grounds of the Hagley Golf Course in the heart of Christchurch.
The course will be a pay-to-play course open to the public, as well as potentially host New Zealand's first international tournament, as part of the Professional Disc Golf Tour.
Christchurch Disc Golf is a registered Charity with the aim of installing new disc golf courses in and around Canterbury for the wellbeing of players from all backgrounds.
All funding (regardless of amount raised) will be used to purchase the materials for teepads, baskets and signage, and assist with Avery's international travel expenses. In the case of shortfall, we will explore other ways to raise remaining funds.
Update! We're getting there! 25 October 2024
Your generousity has helped us immensly and we are in the process of apply for funding to cover the remaining costs of this Hagley Disc Golf Park course installation.
Hole sponsorships have also played a big role in raising the necessary funds too - we still have holes availabe for companies who would like to get involved!
The next step is to get final sign off of the course layout from Hagely Golf Club, at their AGM being held in December 2024. Although we were hoping to have the course in before the end of the year, we will only be able to start working on it after the golf club's AGM.
We are so excited to install New Zealand's first Disc Golf Park by Discmania in the ground - Hagely Disc Golf Park.
