Half marathon run for Hope Church Dunedin
Otago
I am currently training to fulfill a goal of mine that I have had since I was 16 - that is to run a half marathon, and then work my way up to run a full marathon. I will be running my first half marathon in Aoraki Mount Cook coming up on October the 3rd. I have always loved running, but in my early 20's I damaged the ligaments in my right foot and ankle which made it hard for me to be able run any decent amount of distance. I am so grateful to say now, that I am able to run without the pain and issues I used to have - and give thanks to God for that. However I don't just want to run the race for myself. I have been profoundly blessed over the past year, to not only experience a deep and personal connection to God but to also have such a wonderful Church family around me. I want to run the race for them as a small gesture of my appreciation and to give back in some way for all that Hope Church has blessed me with. If you feel you would like to support me in this cause, your donations would be greatly appreciated. May God bless you all!
All donations will go to Hope Church Dunedin https://www.hopechurchdunedin.org.nz/
One half marathon to go! 17 October 2020
Although I didn't get to run the Mt Cook marathon due to it being cancelled, I was still able to unofficially run the 21k's in Dunedin.
I give thanks to God for His enabling, and I am looking forward to running the next half marathon on November the 21st in Queenstown with some of my other fellow brothers and sisters in Christ.
I am running not just for myself but for my Church family. They have all given me so much over the past year and I would love to give back to them even just a little. I you would like to support me running for Hope Church Dunedin, your donations would be greatly appreciated!
God bless you all!
