Jeremy asks
Hi, It's good to see you've become a registered charity, but that should mean that donations to this page are now tax deductible. Are you able to update your page to show you can now claim a tax credit on your donations?
The Kowhai-Kikorangi (Yellow-Blue) Trust
Hi Jeremy Thank you for your question. Please refer to the recent update that includes the following Question and Answer:
Can you have a tax credit (as an individual) or a tax deduction (as a company) for your donation?
No. The Inland Revenue (IRD) usually does not allow tax credits and tax deductions for donations (gifts of money) even to a registered charity, if 25% or more of the charity’s funds are applied overseas (Interpretation statement IS 18/05), which is our case.
Thank you again for standing with Ukraine!

Hello, do you have any updates of what you've been able to do in Ukraine?
The Kowhai-Kikorangi (Yellow-Blue) Trust
Hi, thank you for your question. Money contributed via this Giveaalittle page is efficiently making a difference for Ukraine’s children. Please see details and read stories of kids we support, who lost a father to the war Moscow fights against Ukraine, via this Update https://givealittle.co.nz/cause/hamilton-for-children-of-ukraine/updates/9a3e6ab7. We feel privileged to set a bridge between Kiwis and Ukraine’s children up and serve as its guardians.
