Shave for A.L.W

Hey everyone,

We’ve had a lot of people asking how they can support Hanna-Jane and Alexis at this difficult time.

We all know how important family is to Hanna-Jane and after finally being blessed with a beautiful baby girl, they received the devastating news that Hanna-Jane’s soulmate of 18 years, and loving husband Andrew, was diagnosed with an aggressive terminal cancer that he fought for 4 months. After 5 weeks with his little angel girl, Andrew lost this battle despite his immense strength and determination.

This page is dedicated to raising funds so Hanna-Jane can be with Alexis for as long as possible and allow herself the space to be the mum she wants to be without financial worries.

Shave for A.L.W stands for Andrew Latu Watson and his shared initials with his little girl Alexis Lily Watson.

For those of you who know Andrew’s nephew, Nigel, you’ll also know his beloved dreadlocks. On October 1st Nigel is taking the plunge to shave off his dreads to help support this cause. For more information on this event visit https://www.facebook.com/events/306661976351502/

There will also be a dinner and auction fundraiser night on October 29th held at The Kaiapoi Club. Tickets cost $50 and the evening begins at 6pm.

This event was created not only as a celebration of Andrew's life, but also as a legacy to his treasured Hanna-Jane and Alexis.
