A happy pain-free retirement for Misty

  • Misty is finally home

Misty arrived home from the vets this week. He’ll need another dental check up in a few months, and regularly after this, but we are hoping he will be much happier and more comfortable now that the rotten teeth have been removed and the big hole through the bone from the infection has been treated.

Here’s a photo of him schmoozing with some visiting Japanese students today.

Thanks again for all your support xx

    Thanks again for helping Misty!

It took a while for us to get him in for the surgery but it’s now done, he has had 4 rotten teeth removed and the fistula going into his nasopharynx has been opened and packed. He’s staying with the vet so she can continue to pack the fistula and ensure everything heals well. Can’t wait to see how he feels once it’s healed and he’s back home again.

Oh, that's great news. I'm Happy for Misty. She won't know herself once she's all healed up. 3

Hi everyone, Lauren from Coastal Equine Vets came today and took X-rays of Misty’s mouth. She is getting back to me with a plan, but at this stage it sounds like he will need to go and stay with her to have the surgery and the aftercare, due to a large fistula that needs to be regularly checked and kept clean and packed until it begins to close. I’ll keep you updated, thanks again for making this possible.
