I've signed up for a charity fight being held on November 7th. It is fundraising for I am Hope, a youth mental health charity. Gloves up for Gumboots is a chance for me to get back into the ring after a ten year break and show my support for mental health.
I'm fully committed to my training and have been working hard to be match ready and hope to put on a good show while raising funds for a good cause.
In 2012 I lost my cousin, Wiremu, to suicide so this cause is close to my whanau and this fight will be dedicated to him and others like him who are struggling with their mental health.
