HARD TIMES WILL ALWAYS REVEAL TRUE FRIENDS

  • Thank you

      22 February 2022

As we hit the last day of this page, the family and on behalf of Joe would like to say a huge thank to each and everyone of you for your generous donations. We are all blown away by your support, your messages, your love. We have read out each individual donation and message to Joe so he is aware of every single person who has shown their support. To update you on Joes condition, he is still able to understand what we are telling him, but his ability to respond verbally has gone. He is now sleeping most of the time, is at peace and is extremely comfortable. We do feel that the end is not too far away now. Because of the incredible nursing skills and dedication by Ange who has not left Joes side, he has been able to remain at home where he feels safe and comfortable. A big thank you to Hurunui District Nursing Services who have visited daily to help with any other nursing care Joe has needed. You are all wonderful people to have dug deep and given at a time when we know most of you are struggling yourselves financially, so we really do appreciate what you have all done. Thank you so much it’s beyond words what this means to the family. Love to all. ❤️

Well the response to the page has blown us away! To each and everyone of you that has donated, your generosity it’s amazing, we know it’s a struggle out there and spare cash isn’t easy to come by so please know that this help I will personally assure you will be used to ensure Joes dignity, comfort and well being is of the hugest standard possible. This all helps so so much. Thank you. Joe is a true fighter and he is incredibly brave. His pain is being controlled by a pain pump and he is no longer communicating, only through a little grin and wide eyes as his sign of recognition. Although one word that begins with the letter F slipped from those innocent lips a few days ago. Lol. Ange is doing an outstanding job with his care and he is getting better care than in any hospice or hospital and it is with your help his wish of being at home where he feels at ease and comfortable has been able to happen. Thank you all so much. Love Joe ❤️
