"Harry" missing for 3 months, but he survived! Forever grateful to the Massey Vets AMAZING TEAM, but now we need to pay them!

Mum (Diane) and I spent Christmas 2022 in Nelson whilst Harry my beautiful cat was being looked after away from home

One day in, I received a call from the pet carers, Harry had gnawed his way through 2 layers of his enclosure and was missing!

In Nelson I wasn't able to do anything except hope that he would return

The pet carers did everything possible, they were wonderful

Once home, Mum & I drove 20 minutes, one way, everyday searching & calling for Harry but everyday we drove home

Life was miserable & sad without my buddy

As the days & weeks turned into months I found it harder & harder to keep the faith that he would be found

Eventually on the 27th February nearly 3 months missing he was caught in a trap set by the pet carers! When we got the call they had found him we were overjoyed!

Unfortunately Harry was in a dreadful state

Two very bad wounds, stomach ulcers, dehydrated & starving

He had lost 4.5 kgs & looked so sick

He was sent by the local Vet to Massey Vet Hospital, where he spent over 2 weeks whilst the wonderful crew there fought hard to save him

Two blood transfusions, a raft of medication & every other care was given to Harry. It was touch & go every day, but he pulled through

Mum paid for the Vet fees which had mounted up & I wondered how I would ever pay her back

I'm hoping to raise funds to reimburse Mum who is an 88yr old pensioner & I owe her everything

Without Mum Harry would not be here
