Have You Ever Been With An Asian Womxn?

Move over pornhub, we’re putting our needs & stories first - a Auckland Fringe Festival show that needs funds to cover pre-production costs.

Auckland

How many Hentai, Kama Sutra and Submissive Asian categories do you watch online? Gemishka Chetty and Aiwa Pooamorn (Go Home Curry Muncha) alongside a strong group of Asian women present a satirical investigation into porn fetishes, unleashing a bold commentary on the hypersexualisation of pan-Asian women in pop culture.

Move over pornhub, we’re putting our needs and stories first. Come and celebrate our unapologetic Asian voices, where our rude fantasies take center stage.

Help us bring this baby to life! We need support from our community (you humans) to cover some of the pre-production costs. Putting together a show takes a whole village and this village is currently volunteering their time and money to cover costs for rehearsal space hire, marketing, props and other important production costs. Support us by donating a dollar, the price of your daily coffee or more! Every cent counts.

It's time to subvert the white male gaze and smash the patriarchy, we will be taking over the basement studio space this fringe for two nights only and need your help! White Zaddies can sit down and shut the f*** up. We are not your Lucy Liu, Chun Li, Marie Kondo or Aishwarya Rai.

Bring a raincoat. It’s gonna get wet inside.

Use of funds

The money will be used for pre-production costs - pay for rehearsal space, koha for performers, to design, create and implement social media campaign to advertise the show.

Gemishka Chetty designed our poster for the show. Without the help of creatives who are super generous with their time, this show would not have been possible!
