Hayes' Top Surgery Fund

Hey team, this page is to help raise money for top surgery. I can't emphasize enough how big this surgery will be for my wellbeing.

As most of you will know, the current infrastructure in public healthcare is below what it needs to be for the transgender and gender diverse community. For the area I live in there is a waitlist for the long waitlist, and there are currently no public surgeons in the area to perform surgeries.

The only option for me was to go private to ensure my wellbeing. Being private, the cost is pretty high at $27,550. I've been saving but could really use some assistance.

To help with dysphoria I predominantly use a binder, which one should only really wear for 8-9 hours a day. The reality of a workday means I'm beyond this even without factoring in exercise or social activities. It also impacts my ability to exercise to capacity.

I've had my first appointment with the reputable Dr Rita Yang, and we are aiming for surgery by the end of the year.

I've made my goal fundraiser for this page $10,000, I'm aiming to make it to $7,500 and anything above that I will donate to Outline whose work supporting the LGBTQIA+ community is so crucial and important, as it was for me on my gender journey.
