LIYSF provides an opportunity to explore world-class STEM research while cultivating global friendships.
Tokoroa, Waikato
Kia ora, my name is Hayley Gage. I am a 17-year-old Year 13 student currently attending Tokoroa High School. At the beginning of this year, I received news that I have been invited to attend the London International Youth Science Forum, otherwise known as LIYSF.
LIYSF is a prestigious 14-day residential STEM programme held annually at Imperial College London. This programme brings together over 500 like-minded students from more than 90 countries for lectures from Nobel Prize winners and specialised scientific site visits.
My dream is to study health sciences at university and become a radiologist. Attending this programme will be a transformative step toward a career in radiology by providing early exposure to the cutting-edge technologies that currently revolutionise medical imaging. Similarly, LIYSF will also foster my love for science, allow me to gain hands-on experience in working labs and research centres, and encourage me to keep striving for excellence.
Such an incredible opportunity does come with a cost. In my efforts to lessen the financial burden, I have reached out to different organisations to receive funding. I am also saving money that I earn through my part-time job.
Any contribution or support will go a long way in my journey to London, whether it be through sharing my page or making a donation. I appreciate any effort to help me attend LIYSF. If you have any further queries, feel free to contact me at hayleygage1234@gmail.com.
Thank you for your support!
Contributions will be paid to my Mum as I am under 18.
The money will be used to help with participation fees, flights, and living expenses while overseas
