Healing for a better life – contribute to help fund medical operation for a pain free life

The last 2 years have been long and hard. My wife Michella initially started having pelvic pain in 2022. Following a long wait on the public health system we finally saw a gynaecologist in March this year. Unfortunately, she was misdiagnosed and discharged from the public system. We had to seek medical help privately to finally come up with a diagnosis of severe endometriosis requiring a hysterectomy. We have been informed that the wait to have this operation done in the public health system can be up to 2 years.

In the meantime, my wife is getting worse with significantly high pain levels everyday necessitating the use of daily pain killers. We have seen our life style change as she does less and less, as any activity makes her feel worse. She continues to work as a Neurodevelopmental Therapist working to rehabilitate and treat young babies, but even this is now impacted by her persistently high pain levels.

We have made a decision to seek medical treatment privately so we can get our lives back on track, so our kids can have their mum back and Michella can go back to enjoying live and work. Unfortunately, our medical insurance does not cover this procedure.
