My 33rd year is coming to an end and it's the point in time I ask of this beautiful land of Aotearoa to officially accept me as a citizen 🥹
After 2 decades, spending all my years of becoming, & having a life altering accident here, I have been propelled into a healing journey of magnificent depths! Everything has become ritual & significant.. and this hīkoi/hike is one of them.
I am embarking on this solo journey/ pilgrimage, to walk from tākaka to the west coast (aka the heaphy track) to signify this time, my deep reverence for this land, and celebrate the continual overcomings of my physical health challenges. I would love to be able to raise the funds so that I can fly back home to Tākaka once I'm finished!

Fundraising for transport back to tākaka from karamea via GoldenBay air and cost of hut stays

Woah I am so blown away at the support received in one day - thankyou all SO much! I'm pretty much covered for my flight home 🥹. As there's a while left for this fundraiser I am amending my goal- anything over can help cover cost of hut stays (and some mean hiking snacks 😅)
